Going on a first date this weekend in Seattle. I'm not from the area - what are some ideas for a first date in the evening?

I'm from Portland, so I'm not familiar. Not only is this a first date, it's an evening date, so that narrows things down a bit. Googling has provided Il Bistro, but I'd also like to go on a stroll afterwards. Is Pike's Place/the pier safe at night or something worth doing? An art walk would be ideal, but I know of none this weekend. Some help?

I would recommend going to END, a very lovely wine bar across from Gasworks Park. Its located quite near Fremont. END is cozy, breezy, elegant and romantic without pushing it. You walk in and the smell of luscious saffron hits you.. and their white curtains are billowing in breeze of the open doors and windows. The service is incredibly affable and it has a neighborly vibe.
I'm from NYC originally and its one of the few places that reminds me of a really wonderful city bistro. I recently went there for the firs time and now I'm a regular. The food is written on a butcher paper menu each night and its fantastic - tapas, small plates. Yum!

END is across the street and up a stairway from Gasworks park, which is probably one of the finest view parks in the city. You can climb up the hill where there's a giant sundial and look over the entire city as it is framed against Lake Union. There are boats of all shapes and sizes. Its quite awe inspiring.

Gasworks Park! Now we're talking! This sounds perfect, weather permitting. Thanks :)

Having trouble finding any info on END, though. The only mention of it I've found is on Yelp, and only reviewer didn't even eat there. Do you know where I can find any info?

Go old school classic, Dinner and a movie, you talk just enough to get to know each other (have a few good laughs) but because of the movie you dont have to talk so much you cant seem to carry the conversation very well.

If I am not mistaken you can dine on the needle tower (or whatever they call it).

Walking I dont know much of that (since I have never been there).

Movies out I think would be good to see:
The Ugly Truth
Love Happens
Julie & Julia

I should've mentioned: no movies. I'm on this date to get to know her better, and just might be the world's greatest small-talker, so running out of things to talk about isn't an issue.

This is also a big reason why going on a walk is of interest to me.
