Wow. Reading the story, the grandparents thought the parents were sexually abusing the children. If the parents really were abusing the children, then yes, I could understand. If they weren't abusing the children, it may have been a ploy to try and get custody of the kids, and when it didn't work, the grandparents kidnapped them.

It's a bit hard to believe that parents who were abusing their children would be on the constant search for them. In the people article listed below, it states they did just that and even took it (and it was aired) to Unsolved Mysteries.

If they find the grandparents took the kids just to take them, he should be burned at the stake. If they find the kids really were being abused, they should show him some leniency, but still be punished because he still committed a crime.
