She will need to regain the support of shareholders, since the previous CEO (Jerry Yang) made some controversial decisions that did not sit well with many shareholders. Sealing a deal with Microsoft is another challenge she faces. Yang's failure to do so also contributed to circumstances causing Yang to step down.
