Since homosexual desire and conduct are still illegal in India (though it does not seem to be prosecuted as often), it is probably safe to assume you would never discover the orientation of the Indian victims of this horrific event.
Of the foreigners, several were on religious or spiritual pilgrimages, such as Orthodox Jews from Israel and Florida and members of the Synchronicity Foundation in Virginia.
Homosexuality is a sin in traditional Orthodox Judaism. The Synchronicity Foundation seems to be "open" to homosexuality but encourages celibacy as a means of reaching ultimate holistic balance, so one of these victims might not openly identify as gay or lesbian.
Good luck!

were there any gay hostages / survivors in Mumbai terror attack?
Were there any gay hostages / survivors in Mumbai terror attack? I know orientation is not imporatant in such a crisis, but I'm working on a documentary focused on LGBT people and would like to get voices about what it meant to any queer man/woman out there who were caught in the crisis. Thanks in advance.

There are the hijra (aka eunuchs), classified as a third gender, in India. But I'm not sure if any of those will have been involved/victims etc. I remember seeing National Geographic feature on them not too long ago on the Taboo show. Alot of them are men who consider themselves women. In my opinion, your best bet would be them. I couldn't find any site that listed casualties, but you may be able to find a contact in Mumbai who has more/first hand information. The hotel may be able to help too.
