Mexican drug lord Joaquin Shorty Guzman made Forbes' billionaire list. Should the US be doing more to stop the drug war?

Increasing violence in the drug war in Mexico has been reported in the newspapers, including the discovery of severed heads dumped outside of communities. Should the U.S. be doing more to help Mexico struggle with this problem?

The drug war is bad. We all know that.
But the bigger question for me is that the Forbes number is an estimate of quantifiable assets. I wonder how much more money that man has stashed away. It's quite unsettling actually.

• I think this is a really good point. How do we know how much insight Forbes really has into the assets of a criminal? Thanks!
