I'd like to think that with a bit of luck and a lot of preparation (before an accident like that happened) that we all might have the chance of surviving like these guys did.
I haven't yet had the opportunity to read much into the story about how they survived, but my first thought is that they must have worked well together as a team, supported each other. And that they must have had at least some supplies (water) to keep them going.
Great to hear of a survival rescue story.
P.S. Nice page on the news story...and good question.

Like the rescued Texas boaters, could you survive a week at sea?
Three men from Texas were rescued after their boat capsized and they spent a week clinging to it at sea. This is an incredible story of strength, both mental and physical. Personally I'm not sure I would have lasted that long, would you?
