Renelique went to State University of Haiti and completed his four-year residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Interfaith Medical Center in New York. Records show he has made five malpractice payments.

Whether Renelique was qualified or not doesn't seem to matter because he didn't even show up for the abortion. The night before Sycloria Williams was scheduled for an abortion with Renelique, Renelique gave her laminaria, a drug that dilates the cervix. When she arrived at the clinic the next day for the abortion, he was not there but she was given Cytotec by a non-licensed employee to dilate her cervix further. She waited for hours but he didn't show and she ended up going into labor and delivering a live baby. The clinic owner, who did not have a medical license and was not qualified, cut the umbilical cord and stuffed the baby into a biohazard bag.

The Board of Medicine revoked Dr. Pierre Jean-Jacque Renelique's medical license after they found him "in violation of Florida statutes by committing medical malpractice, delegating responsibility to unlicensed personnel, and failing to keep an accurate medical record" (AP). During the trial, his medical knowledge was tested--he was asked about medical forceps used in abortions and he basically failed.
