While I'm all for the legalization of prostitution for the purpose of taxing it and to make it safer for sex workers, currently it's still illegal. While that alone should not be grounds for dismissal (I'm not one of those "OH THINK OF THE CHILDREN" types), the fact that she used school property to engage in illegal activity is why I say she should be fired, not because of any sort of role model silliness. My argument is that she's using school property for non-school activities, which could be argued as some sort of theft or fraud. I'd have the same opinion if she was using school time and property to arrange contracting jobs for construction.

All that being said, I cannot help but empathize a bit. Look at the kinds of salaries teachers make. You pretty much HAVE to take a second job to make ends meet a lot of the time. Ms. Carter simply made a poor choice of a second job.
