Where the fiance was is not the issue. Maybe the guy hates jogging, had a bum knee, or stayed put fixing breakfast.
I must admit, though, finding it curious that Ms. Kuszak went jogging by herself one day after arriving in Ceiba. Ceiba is hardly a tourist destination, and it is definitely not San Juan. This suggests to me that perhaps Ms. Kuszak had been there before (the town was the site of a now-closed US naval base) and thus was somewhat familiar with the area. The other alternative is that she was a risk-taker, perhaps taking off in spite of her boyfriend's advice (assuming he even knew what she was up to), common sense and a sense of self-preservation. Either way, she did not deserve what happened to her.

At this point, it is still unclear exactly where Cheshire Mcintosh (Kuszak's fiance) was at the time of the murder. My assumption would be that he was still wherever the two were staying in Puerto Rico.

Funny question - it is arguably a way to indirectly blame the victim. Where the fiance was is not the issue. Maybe the guy hates jogging, had a bum knee, or stayed put fixing breakfast.
