Do you have a good relationship with your bank or do you have a Financial Adviser?

If so, you can give them a call or better yet, pop in and they can either print it out for you or show you on their screen.

Here in the great white north (aka Canada), I send a snail mail letter into Equifax requesting a copy of my history when I finish doing my taxes.  This usually takes about 2 weeks to get back.

As others have said, annualcreditreport.com is the quickest and most reliable way to get your credit report. It is important to note that this site is the only credit report website endorsed by the U.S. government under the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act of 2003. Under this act, consumers are entitled to a free copy of their credit report, at their request, from Equifax, Experian and TransUnion once every 12 months. The reports from each company can be obtained all at once or over the course of a year. Popular sites like freecreditreport.com and consumerinfo.com have subtle costs and memberships involved. For those who are weary about doing this online, these reports can also be obtained by telephone or snail mail. By mail, the following form can be filled out and sent in: http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/conline/include/requestformfinal.pdf By phone, people can call 877-322-8228 (toll free) and have their reports mailed to them after giving the pertinent info. Obviously, the mail and phone options are not as quick, but some people feel safer doing it the old-fashioned way.

If you want to get a free credit report that includes your FICO score, you can register for a 30 day trial of Score Watch at myFICO.

The downfall to this is that you have to remember to cancel before the 30 day trial ends, but they send you an email shortly before the deadline to remind you to cancel and it is the only place I have seen where you can get your FICO score for free.

This is definitely the website to go to with www.freecreditreport.com. The government passed a law a few years ago and made it mandatory for everyone to receive a free credit report once a year anymore its up to you to pay

This is the one and only site at which you can get your report for free. You are entitled to a free report once a year from all three bureaus. Instead of getting all the reports at one time, you can monitor your credit by spacing the requests. You can get one from Equifax today, one from Experian in four months, and the final one from Transunion four months after that.
If you spot any irregularities, you should contact the credit bureaus directly and "freeze" your account. This will keep others from opening up credit in your name.

This website gives you one free credit report per year from each of the three credit bureau.you can get all three credit reports at once. However it's better that you get one report a time and spread it out over a year. This way if a big problem pops up you'll be able to catch it and not have to wait a full year before you check all three reports again.
