I'm American and my great grandparents emmigrated here from Poland in 1933. I actually enjoy the simplicity of the Polish flag.
White Knight with a Red shield. Red and white became the national colors of Poland in 1831.

Or, following a common stereotype you could say we just flipped the flag of Monaco upside-down. Although Monaco has had the colors red and white as their national colors since 1389 the current flag design was not adopted until 1881.

There's 240+ Country flags worldwide. Which is your favourite? (excluding your own country) and why? I attach my favourite - Albania.
I like Albania as the vivid red and black offer real contrast and the two-headed black eagle in the centre finishes the flag off to a tee!
If you want to look at some flags of the world to find your favourite the following sites might help:

• A good answer with a personal touch.
Not that the Polish flag is my favourite but it was good to hear some personal insight.
You're welcome to the best answer points and for similarity also check out the Austrian flag, once again very similar.

I never noticed before that there are stars on Brazil's flag. That increases my liking for it, and I already thought it was a good one. :)
