How do I store the candy apples so that they do not melt or soften? Apartment is to warm & wonder if they can be refrigerated?

Yes. Put candy apples in the container first, then refrigerate them in cooling zone in the refrigerator. Take them out at room temperature for one or two minutes before served.

Yes, refrigerate them until you serve them. Refrigerators dry things out, so it will definitely not soften or melt them!
