corn on the cob - how can you tell that it's bad?

How can one tell if corn on the cob is bad. If the kernels are slightly discolored where they touch the cob, does it mean it's bad? Or is that normal?

You want your corn on the cob to have green husks and not brown dried ones. Also, check to make sure the kernels are juicy. If you squeeze one open, you want it to be milky.
