From a moral point of view:
Yes, absolutely. I think it's important for a nation to recognize the mistakes that were made in the past.
For instance like how Truth and reconciliation Commission in South Africa dealt with the Apartheid era

From a pragmatic political point of view:
Maybe. Although it is the best way to screw up the diplomatic relations between the USA and Turkey and the NATO and Turkey.
Talking about a "Armenian Genocide" is highly controversial in Turkey.

This needs to be handled very delicately. But all in all i think they should atleast recognize publicly the un humanitarian cruel and unusual deaths of Armenians.
Kind Regards,

Should Obama push Turkey to acknowledge the Armenian genocide?
In his speech to Turkish parliament, he alluded to the issue, but never used the word genocide. Should U.S. relations with a foreign country take precedence over the feelings of genocide survivors?

• Thanks for broadening the question with this thoughtful response. I'm not sure there's really an "answer" to this one. I'm conflicted as well.

I think this is a very sensitive subject, believe it or not... I have seen allot of EXTREMELY HEATED arguments (both on and off line) between conservative armenians and turkish peoples alike. This needs to be handled very delicately. But all in all i think they should atleast recognize publicly the un humanitarian cruel and unusual deaths of Armenians.
Kind Regards,
