ALL NEW VERSION: Answer of the Day Contest for September 15th! - Still Plenty of time to vote

Welcome to the Answer of the Day Contest for September 15th, 2009. There have been some changes made to the contest recently, you can find out all about the changes here on the Mahalo blog.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/33749589%40N07/3916902523/

~How To Play~
1. Post below as your answer, a permalink to the best answer you can find on Mahalo from within the last 5 days. The answer can be from any Mahaloian, at any belt level, including staff. Nominators need only provide a paragraph or less to introduce their nomination, please no images or video.

~How to Win~
If your nomination receives the most "helpful votes" you win the M$4 prize + team tips. Mahalo will also send M$4 to the author of the "Answer of the Day"
2nd Place, M$2 for Nominator and Author
3rd Place, M$1 for Nominator and Author

Also, each time you nominate it adds your name, and the authors, into a drawing that takes place during Mahalo Tutorials with @lon, which is happening each Wednesday in September.

~Rules~
1. You must vote "helpful" on at least 1 other nomination, if it is not done your nomination will not count.
2. When you nominate an answer, place a nomination tiki in the comment section for that answer. This way future readers know it's already been nominated, and the author of the answer becomes aware they've been nominated.

Tip for best answer: M$6.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Today I would be happy to nominate @nickunderscore for the friendly and helpful answer to @deunhsiyen 's question

Would anyone like to critique my first attempt at fashion modeling at the 2009 Hawaii's Most Beautiful Man Contest?

Mr. @nickunderscore scores again with this interesting critique to the participation in the Hawaii's Most Beautiful Man contest, faceted with positivity and helpfulness throughout.

Great job @nickunderscore

I really enjoyed @philipy's answer to @markb's question:
How far did Sam and Frodo walk in miles from Hobbiton to Mordor?

The story line and time line of this famous journey can be a little confusing, but @philipy clearly maps out the entire trip with clarity.

Thanks for the nomination @bunnyphuphu.

I had fun answering the question. It's nice to have a reason to think about Middle Earth for a while. :)

Also, if you enjoy The Lord of the Rings, may I recommend checking out the page of the same name? There's some good links, and I found a really good new one to add while answering the question:

I'm going to nominate @buddawiggi's answer to the "Why you should sometimes choose "No Best Answer" when voting on Undecided Questions" question.

Buddawiggi's answer

Once again Buddwiggi shows why he has the rank he does, giving great advice on how he voted on the undecided questions and what constitutes to him, a "Best Answer". His answer was so in-depth @jeffhoard even linked to it in the new http://www.mahalo.com/how-undecided-voting-works guide.

I'd like to nominate @robbrown for spectacular answer to the question What is the issue with copyrighted images and mahalo?

I personally think that @robbrown gave a very good, in-depth explanation, inserted his own personal experience and gave a link to the mahalo team as well, helping aid the askers question exceptionally. Not only this, but he also came back and added another reply to an additonal question.

robbrown's answer

Also, great job on the tiki work!

For my first ever nomination I'd like to nominate White Belt @paulopmarinas for his answer to the eternal question "What is better .. Playstation 3 or XBox 360 ?"

We've all seen these threads before, and seen the flamewar between rival factions of Fanboys/Fangirls.... but he cut through all of that and gave a great answer, full of useful information, about how to choose between them.

Today, I would like to nominate @robbrown for his nice answer to the question Piracy laws. What do you think?

Robbrown's Answer

Although, I am a part of piracy, I really like the way @robbrown has managed to provide this answer. His answer is broken into 3 parts which makes it easy to read, as well as it is nicely written.

Great Answer Rob !
