I think disclosure is very important. However, enforcing it is unlikely with the sheer number of blogs that are out there.

If someone is doing a product review and gets paid for it, they might be more apt to write an excellent review in hopes that the company gives out more review opportunities. If the person is reviewing a product and only gets the product, there is a greater chance that the product review will be truthful.

Enforcing this would take a giant task force. There are so many blogs and every day there are more blogs added to cyberspace.

Bottom line -- people just need to be ethical. Disclosure is a very important part of blogging.
