Here's a solid power converter I bought from Radio Shack. Only $10 and it works perfectly

Whenever I travel overseas, my ordinary power converter that I bought at Radio Shack works fine. They'll also let you know what will work best depending on your laptop's voltage.

If you want to shop around for adapters, here's a nice summary of various ones: http://www.worldtravelguide.com/travel-gear/ac-power-adapters.html

I prefer buying these things in person though.

You can also save some cash by only getting the one you need for the specific country or region where you're traveling.
