Looking for best price on a 2.8 ghz processor with 1gb ram and 12gb hd
laptop.

I'm not sure what you're doing that requires a high end CPU and so little RAM. A more balanced system will be a lot cheaper and perform faster. I will recommend to get something with a lot more RAM and a slower CPU - the CPU will hardly make a difference anyway.

Try Jetbook 1638S.

I believe you're trying to get a Single Core Processor going at 2.8Ghz because if you're looking at dual core of that speed, You are touching the high end stuff. You can get decent 2.0 or 2.4 Dual core laptop for under $1500 on newegg.com

I do buy computer parts from there and think they have no match for price + quality.... but that's for computer parts.... I know they sell laptop, but you might get a better deal on a laptop at Wal-mart......
