Is there a good online resource to help me compare the quality of an upscaled DVD image to a Blu-ray image?

I keep hearing a range of opinions from Blu-Ray destroys DVD image quality, to an upscale DVD compares well to Blu-Ray.

I have a 40" 1080p LCD, and want to make sure Blu-Ray is worth the jump before I make the investment. Looking for an online resource that does some sort of side by side comparison if possible.
