I always go to the AVS Forums for my AV questions.
For shipping around content I think you would do best with a Slingbox, but will be interested to see what others think.

Setting up one pc to record tv and steam it to all other tv's in the house.
Things I own that my help this: 1 xbox 360, 1 origional xbox, 2 windows pc's(one with vista one with xp) and a wireless g/n router. I need the web sites and guides to make this happen. Thanks for any help you may provide.

Thank you! That helps a lot. Im at work now so I couldnt spend too much time looking at right now but from what I can tell this will help. As far as the slingbox goes I was hoping to use windows media center, the 360, and something compatible with that for the living room. Of course I dont know if that is possible or cost effective.

Well I know I can use Windows Media Center to record tv via a tv tuner card. I know I can stream that to the Xbox 360. Also at Microsoft.com there are some devices that would do what I want but they aren't cost effective and some of them aren't made anymore. I could build another pc for the living room but that's even more expensive. It seems like the easiest way may be to buy more Xbox 360's. I will check out the AVS forums to make sure after work though.
