Does anyone know how to set a password on your IPod Nano?

To lock your iPod from being used by someone, you can set a password. Here is how (for iPod Nano 4th generation):
http://manuals.info.apple.com/en_US/iPod_nano_4th_gen_UserGuide.pdf

- Go to Extras, then select Screen Lock.
- On a new combination screen, enter a combination using the Click Wheel.
- Confirm the combination.
