Hmm. Sounds like there could be a defect in the actual battery or there may be a dent in the connection cable (that happened on my phone battery). Definitely take it back to the store. Do you have a receipt?

Bought a 9v AC adapter for my Stanton mixer because it says "9v" on it. Doesn't fit. What's wrong?

From what I can see is Stanton uses specific adapters for their products. According to their website in order to replace the power supply they recommend that you contact them. http://www.stantondj.com/activekb/questions.php?questionid=92

You could also probably bring your parts to an electronic store like Radio Shack, they have very knowledgeable employees who will definitely be able to help you out.
