Not in my living room next year.....
In the UK SKY have committed to broadcasting some 3d stuff, but the programs are likely to be few and far between.
certainly not enough programming to merit the cost of a new set so I can watch Gladiators in 3d

3D TV and movies in your living room by next year?
Sony presented its Real 3D technology at IFA in Berlin yesterday, do you think we will actually watch 3D TV and video games by 2010, or that the trend will fade?

I'll keep an eye on it... being able to watch the football in 3d would be tempting, but I still think i'll have to hang on for the 2nd generation of stuff when the prices come down.

I don't think we will be doing that soon. Plus it could get kind of old fast. You want to do that kind of thing sparingly. You don't want to get sick of it too fast. Would be cool to watch some newer movies in 3D though but I bet most people are not going to have the money to spare to get a new set to watch it on. Everyone is holding on to their money pretty tight right now with the recession and I don't see that high on the necessity list.
