What is the best way to get the absolute best ticket to a concert?
One of my favorite bands just got back together this year, and they will be touring this summer. The tour will have a lot of large and popular acts with them, so the shows should be *very* popular. This is a band I've been waiting to see live again for about 5 years..so I want to make sure I can get a ticket for their show that gets me as close as possible.
What is the best way to make sure that I get the absolute best ticket as possible for this show?
Extra Detail: The ticket seller is LiveNation
(Please don't suggest trying to win tickets through a radio station/contest etc)

The best way is to be on the fan club and get the tickets that way. Buy them at the presale, don't wait till the last minute, or get them at the Ticketmaster auction if they have one. You might also want to check out these sites:

Best is a flexible concept. Depending on how much effort you want to put into it a ticket broker or scalper may be the way to get the best ticket with the least amount of effort. Internet ticket sales mean that if you don't get your ticket in advance of release to the general public your chances of being able to buy a good ticket are low.

Bands will often a sell limited number of tickets through their fan club before the public sale. You should be able to find our from the band's fan club whether they do this.

Sure, will do.
The band is Blink 182. The show will be with Panic at the Disco and Fall out Boy playing with them...so lots of "big" bands with large followings.
Tickets go on sale on May 30th
