That's an impressive machine.
I think machines like that might sell well, but not specifically for the kind of use you have in mind. The majority of people would prefer the greater simplicity of a dedicated PVR (aka DVR) like the TiVo rather than a full-blown PC for the living room.

Is the $300 - $400 computer that has HDMI (video/audio) going to become a big market? (non net top)

in my opinoion this will make a great pc for the living room. i dont know how loud it is but it is cheap and looks like it has good performance for a media center pc. I am thinking about puting this in my living room with a couple of external hard drives to use as my dvd library and mediacenter.
