I was going to say the same thing. I have the WD notebook on my desk, and I use it with my Macbook's Time Machine feature. Great device, and since I don't have to bother with turning it on and off, I don't even have to think about maintaining it.
The hard drive will work with any system though. If you go to the Apple store, they will have WD drives that say "Mac" on them, but for much more $$$.
For a good deal on these drives (or any other tech equipment for that matter) go to www.eCost.com, that's where I get my stuff. Look at their stuff on sale, it's generally far cheaper than anywhere else!
Here's the WD drive on eCost, it's 8 bucks less than Amazon. Why not take that 8 bucks and give it to me for giving you the best answer?

• Yeah I have a Mac as well, so time machine also seemed like a good way to go.

The western Digital mybook. The feature that is the coolest, is that it turns on and off with your computer.
