Now a day, there aren't many jobs women can't do.
However, heavy labour is still usually restricted to men; not that women CAN"T do it, but they often don't want to or don't possess the physical strength to do the job.
My (female) friend went through school for construction technology (basically the mid line between construction worker and architect.. like a site coordinator) and she was the only female in a class of 200 in all 3 years. I go to school for IT and there were 5 females in my class of 150.
I think all jobs are appropriate but some still have the factor of physical capability.
