Can I create an LLC company if I'm a non-US citizen living in the US with a J1 Visa?
I live in New York and I would like to create an LLC company. Is it legally possible to do so? (considering that I'm not a US citizen and that I'm legally here with a J1 Visa)

The question is if you're a student here with a J1 or some other type of culture exchange? I don't believe you can work in the states if you're a student so, you wouldn't have a social security number to pay taxes. Without that you're not able to form any business. I'm not so sure of none-profit org though. Best bit is to call an account.
