You could go to www.traffic.com to track it live, but I could give you the basics. On the 110, 405, 605, 710, 5 101, or 10, don't go North or West during the morning hours and don't go East or South during the evening hours.

Is there a way to anticipate the average freeway traffic speed in Los Angeles based on day and time?
I know holidays and accidents affect the Los Angeles freeways, and checking websites just before leaving gives a great red / yellow / green guess of a speed, but it seems some days at certain hours are consistently fast freeway speeds or consistently slow freeway speeds. Is there a way to see what, say, typical friday noon traffic is like? or typical Thursday traffic?
