Hi this is what I found for you on having a "Virtual Baby Shower." Maybe you could send this to some of your friends to help with this baby.
First you would send the invitations through email.
Things to include on invitation.
1. Sex of baby if know
2. Site with links to the gift registry the mother has signed up for
3. Guestbook
Best of all it has no specific time or place.

Anyone help me with a virtual baby shower?
I try to grant wishes at wishuponahero.org as some of you know. I am a firm believer in karma and taking care of our fellow man when possible. I am especially fond of helping babies, as they are helpless. This woman lives near me and has nothing for her pending birth of her baby boy. Can anyone else find it in their heart to help her out? I would love to see a success story, and then I will contact local news to spread the word of the wishuponahero site and could mention the Mahalo community help as well? if you do help, please post here what/how you are helping so everyone knows and doesn't duplicate.
here is the link to the wish:
