EDIT:
Didn't realize you where asking for personalized notifications for webpages and not the other way around
2 apps I have tried in conjunction with one another for this.
http://www.TheWebWatcher.com/ works very well
And Watznew helps with quick customized updates for when i get back to my desk and don't have much time to spare.
___
Ping.FM does this, as a matter of fact see my previous answer here.

Ping.FM is a Multi social search engine posting service, with them you can post text as well as media in multiple formats and multiple ways.
Including E-MAIL and Directly from some popular Instant Messaging clients such as AOL Instant Messenger.
You can even post pictures from E-MAIL and setup separate profiles to pic and choose which networks you want to post to on the fly.

I hope thats what you are looking for.

I am looking for web apps that are similar to http://notify.me/ (which allows for SMS/IM or email updates for RSS feeds), others?
I use http://notify.me/ for getting SMS for must read/time sensitive feeds. However, I'm looking for other alternatives that provide SMS as well as IM on all the major IM platforms. Thanks!
