All of his characters are a very similar act, relying on shock value and the audience to find his antics this side of the charming-annoying line. "Bruno" struck most people as annoying and insulting. And now that public opinion has turned, I think Baron-Cohen has to find a new act.
He's become "Tom Greened". Ouch.

Now that Borat and Bruno have had hit movies, do you think there should be a new Ali G movie?
He did have a movie a few years back called "Indahouse", but that was before he became well known at least in the US.

Heck no. There's been a Sascha Baron-Cohen backlash. "Bruno" didn't do nearly as well as projected, and even worse, the critical reception was miserable. I think his characters are very different, but they do rely on the same style of comedy. I think Sacha is funny, but he might have gone over the line with the Bruno movie. I would still like to see another Ali G movie, but I can understand if he wants to move on to other roles.
