Yes, it is. You already have discovered rottentomatoes.com which is a great site for determining if a movie is any good and also if it is a bad one that you would like to see anyway. It is possible because the site brings together so many diverse reviews. By using the menu tabs you can see that the t-meter critics give the movie a 12%, simply awful. However, looking at the next tab you can see that the top critics rate it as an even more abysmal 7%. So far so bad, but moving to the next tab which is the whole community (anyone in the public who offers a rating with or without a review) the rating is 54%.
When the reviewers and the community get so far out of whack like this it means two things. First, that the film has absolutely no artistic or technical merit. If it did, some of the reviewers would like it. Second, it is aimed at a segment of the population not everyone.
In this case reading the reviews one can see that the movie is a particularly banal example of a "chick flick". The reviewers have seen many "chick flicks" in their time and feel that this is a very poor one.
However, apparently about half of the aforesaid chicks like the movie anyway. They don't care that it's not a good example, they just like "chick flicks" as entertainment. Notice that in the community section that almost all the names are female. Professional reviewers have to watch the movie regardless of sex; but, only women would deliberately choose to watch it. Of those, about half liked it.
So if you are female and like "chick flicks" you might like this bad movie. Or not. But remember that according to one reviewer you may be violating the Geneva Convention if you drag your boyfriend along.

Is ''Bride Wars'' as bad as the critics say?
The film only received 12 % on Rotten Tomatoes. I've heard it was awful, but it looks so cute.

My wife had said she wants to go see this, which means that she plans on dragging me along. Consider your comment forwarded :).

Also, it's a pretty ridiculous and backwards premise. I think it would be sad to see the fabulous Hathaway in this movie -- it might be easier to watch the crummy chick flick if it didn't have an amazing actor in it.

From personal experience, it was pretty bad. I would rate it a 4 out of 10. Obviously, I did not go in expecting Bride Wars to be a cinematic masterpiece, but I did expect a cute, lighthearted chick flick that garnered some laughs. However, I laughed maybe twice during the entire film. Even though I usually like these types of movies, this one bored me to death, and I felt like it would never end. I usually love Anne Hathaway, but even she could not save this film. I'm curious as to why she even accepted this role in the first place. It would be worthy of a DVD rental, if you're feeling adventurous, but I would not waste theater-money on a movie of this caliber.
