While living in Israel and the West Bank I only picked up a few words of Hebrew. Never learned the characters.
The one language I want to learn is Mandarin. I like the sound of Mandarin more than the sound of Cantonese.
I like to think I have a good ear for language.

Yes, my Japanese phrases took me quite some time to complete (not including the double check from my wife after she finished breakfast duties for the hungry troops) using Google translator and other tools.
Any recommendations on the best free translation apps out there?
Of course the best to use on the computer is google, but I did look at this iphone app... it doesn't cover Japanese though.
For a good one covering Japanese, I think you'll have to fork out a little money.
ブラヤンさん: I highly recommend the Denshi Jisho. Click "Words" to use the dictionary, or "Kanji" to look up all the meanings and pronunciations of particular kanji, or "Kanji by radicals" to find kanji in the dictionary based on its radicals. It even has example sentences. 電子辞書は愛する (or something like that, haha)!

L'italiano ha un certo... "non so che" per me. È la prima lingua oltre all'inglese che ho riuscito a parlare abbastanza correntamente. Ma siccome l'ho studiato per tanti anni (sette - dai, che lungo tempo) m'annoia un po' perché lo capisco. È una lingua europeana, viene dal latino, eccetera eccetera... Tutti gli studenti studiano le lingue romanze. Pareillement avec le français, y lo mismo con español (pero es interesante sentir la diferencia entre español mexicano y español castillano).

J'aime la langue française aussi. Maine est beau tout le temps de l'année. Je vis dans le New Hampshire et le français est une langue parlée ici.
francais est aussi la seule autre language que je sais, mais j'ai alle au ecole avant que les ordinateur est populair, alore je neut c'est pas comment de metre tu les propre accent sure me lettre..Zut.
Si je pouvais aujourd'hui, je voudrais être capable de parler couramment anglais, français, espagnol, arabe et langue des signes.

Me encanta español.
Me acaba de llegar a mí mismo debe volver a la escuela y aprender español. La mayor parte de mi barrio y habla español a aprender que realmente me ayudan a cabo.
Mi única lengua extranjera es el Inglés, hasta ahora. Me gustaría mucho aprender otros idiomas. Me fascinan los juegos de diptongos del Holandés y el sonido del Japonés. Si tuviera un babel fish lo alojaría en mi cerebro sin pensarlo.
