When will we see another eclipse?

Do you know the closest item we will see another eclipse, like the one in Asian countries?

It depends on where you are. Total solar eclipses are quite rare at any given location, average one total eclipse every 370 years or so.

The next total solar eclipse visible from Earth will be on July 11, 2010 (path of totality indicated in dark blue; other areas bounded by the light blue and purple lines will see a partial eclipse):

The next total solar eclipse visible from North America will occur on August 21, 2017 (path of totality in blue, partial eclipse visible within the green lines):

Next solar eclipse will occur on January 15, 2010. It will be seen as a so-called annular eclipse in Central Africa, India, Burma and China, and as a partial one from other parts of Africa and Asia.

It will be followed closely by July 11, 2010 total eclipse to be seen from South Pacific, Easter Islands, Chile and Argentina. Other parts of South America will see it as a partial eclipse.

The first coming solar eclipse that will be seen from North America is a partial eclipse of January 1, 2011.
