I used to play clarinet when I was living in the Detroit area (my old teacher would repair but he is now retired and moved away - sorry). If you have some time to do this, and you're not shy about calling strangers, I'd say look up clarinet teachers (especially if they are older; I think in those days, repair was more part of the job). Ask these teachers if they also do repairs (music teachers are almost always cheaper than the music store). If they say no, they at least might be nice and give you a tip on where they get their repairs done. Worst case, you meet other clarinet players.
I assume you already tried places like Royal Music in Royal Oak (if it's still around), but I don't know about their prices since I never used them.
