Many Christians, not all, believe that God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit are one and the same. So my answer would be no, for most Christians, a belief in the Divinity of Christ is not a barrier to a relationship with God, because God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit are the Holy Trinity, the Triune God, three parts in one. A relationship with one is in fact a relationship with all three, because they are, many believe, one and the same.
I think it usually creates a barrier to intelligent thought.

No.
If a person can have a relationship with a transcendent being, and that in itself does not introduce some kind of psychological barrier, then I don't see how the Christian belief in the incarnation, i.e. that God became took human form would pose such a barrier.
Rather, the contrary seems likely. It would be as though God was trying to make himself more approachable.
