Anyway, if you still like to upgrade to a new phone, and if you like windows mobile, there are other options depending on your contract.
Samsung ACE ($50), Samsung Intrepid, and Treo Pro under $150 price range.
HTC diamond, HTC Pro and Pro2 - > $200
If you like Android:

What is the best 3G data phone on Sprint, not counting the Palm Pre?
I have a really great plan on Sprint. I've been a customer for years and years and years. My contract stipulates that I can upgrade my phone without having to change plans. (Sprint no longer puts that in their contracts.) However, *I* have to be the side that enforces that part of our contract. Until recently, this has not been a problem. I've upgraded from a 2G phone to a Palm Treo 600P to a Palm Treo 700P and been able to keep my inexpensive plan with unlimited data. But Sprint does not offer the Palm Pre as an available phone that I can upgrade to without changing my plan. (The cheapest Pre plan costs twice what I pay per month.)
Sprint's position is that since they offer OTHER data phones that I can move to without changing plans, they're still honoring our contract. For example, I could switch to a Palm Centro, or a Palm Treo Pro. Right now I have the Treo 700P, but I wonder: Is there a better data phone available on Sprint that isn't the Pre? I hate the web browser on the Treo 700P. What Sprint phones do people like that are BETTER than the Treo 700P? Help me out, peeps!
