Is the Bblackberry Javelin any good without the 3G network?

Blackberry 8900 works fine with GPRS. You really only need a fast connection when using the browser, and then you can always resort to the Wi-Fi connection, which is perfect. Even the best 3G/3.5G networks won't give you great internet speeds anyway...
