Can you help me to understand how to apply a missed call reminder patch to a Sony Erricson W810i?

I have a Sony W810i cell phone. I would like to have the phone constantly beep or vibrate after I miss a call (like when I leave phone at home). I have the data cable, and I would like to patch the phone. There are patches, but I can't find an easy tutorial.

The patch I would like may be called missed call reminder patch, or missed call notification.

Any ideas?

Do you really need it? Installing patch that you do not know may cause unwanted errors in your phone. Besides, when you miss a call, a message prompts on your screen.
