I think it brings out the prettier aspects of her facial features, especially her eyes. A surprising number of blondes look like they have 'softer' or more feminine facial features when they go brunette see Madonna early 90's:

Not that I'm a Fergie fan but I don't like the long super straightened DARK hair. The color seems too severe and makes her look quite old. I think the bouncier blond hair flattered her more.

Any votes on how quickly she'll change it back?

it's not the hair that makes her look old, It's the years of heavy meth use that aged her. If you can get pat that, she's a babe.

I still think the new color/cut combination looks severe and tends to accentuate the age in her face. Before, her older facial features seemed less obvious to me as there wasn't as much contrast between her skin tone and hair color.

I hate it! She actually has a little Priscilla Presley going on in that photo up top. Fergie looks amazing in anything she wears but I say bring back the long beautiful bouncy blond hair!
