Dick Clark had a stroke in 2004
He also has Type II Diabetes.

Dick Clark has type II diabetes, and he experienced a stroke several years ago.

He has Type 2 Diabetes.

Back in 2004 he had a minor stroke which meant he couldn't present the New Year Rockin Eve broadcast.

His speech is slightly slurred still from the stroke.
