Now that Diablo Cody is guest starring in ''90210'' has she officially sold out?

During the original run of Beverly Hills 90210 there were a huge number of celebrities and musical acts that appeared on the show. Most of the guest starts were musical acts that appeared at the "After Dark" club, the ownership of which passed through at least four different characters on the show. I think if Beverly Hills 90210/90210 didn't take advantage of the Hollywood atmosphere, the should wouldn't have near as much appeal to viewers. As to whether or not that means a celebrity appearing on the show is selling out or not, I think that's up to the celebrity.
Diablo Cody could really make a statement on some of the issues she feels strongly about among the target audience she's tried to reach. I think it's a good move, especially if she continues to promote a message of responsibility like the one she did in Juno.
