Unfortunately, she died after being taken to Manhattan's Lenox Hill Hospital, where she was declared brain dead.
The actress, who was the wife of Liam Neeson and daughter of Oscar winners Vanessa Redgrave and Tony Richardson was hospitalized Monday in Montreal after a fall during a ski lesson at Mont Tremblant ski resort in Quebec, two days ago.
Richardson was in a very critical condition after being involved in a head injury during a fall at the beginners trail. However she did not show any signs of being injured so grievously as all the injuries were internal.
After a doctor reported that Natasha Richardson may have died under a talk and die syndrome, people are wondering what it is.
What it means is that when somebody bangs their head, initially they seem OK but then due to rapid accumulation of blood in that area, it leads to hemorrhage and becomes fatal. Which basically means the person has had profuse bleeding between the skull and the brain.
