It depends on how much you value your boyfriend. If you think this is a long term relationship, then you should be giving him level of respect equal to yourself, that you two are on the same level and page. Even the most pro-cat of the cat lovers will say they don't think their pets are on the same level as them. There's a subordinate relationship there, that you are better than your cat.
Now if you don't think this is a steady-level relationship, dominate the heck out of him. Have fun!

That depends on how you talk to your cat. And does it bother your boyfriend (or cat)? If you talk to them both with an endearing, loving tone I'd say there's nothing abnormal about that.

Hmm... well... I'd say so.

I've had more than one significant other who would talk to me like their pets when they were in a mood suiting them to do so... and it wasn't for peeing on the carpet.

Is it a male cat? If so they may think in similar ways making what you say relevant in both cases.
The boyfriend is more likely to reply from time to time. You should make your conversation relevant to what he says, within reason.
All in all, it sounds normal to me, as long as it's not a female cat.
