I wonder if Arm and Hammer Baking Soda can be safely scented at home to use as a cat litter box deodorizer?

If you sprinkle some into the bottom of your catbox it will help absorb the odor without adding anything else to it. I scent mine to use as a carpet sprinkle and similar purposes by layering it with dried lavender buds and letting it sit a few weeks. You can leave the buds in there- your cat won't mind as long as you change the box frequently so the buds don't have a chance to get soggy - or you can sift them out. It's also good for de-stinking shoes, garbage cans and pet beds. You can use any scented dried herb for this.
