If someone steals your car registration, is there anything information the thieves can use and for what?

Yes, they would most likely use it on for another vehicle so it’ll have a legitimate plate that they can utilize. They can either drive it around or sell it. .

It doesn't really help a criminal to have the registration, only the licence plate. Even that is only useful if the plate that was on the car was reported stolen. If pulled over by Police, his licence would not match the registered owner's information, and he would still be in trouble. Besides, most real criminals don't worry about that, they just use a stolen car in the commission of another crime. Then dump the car. Only inexperienced thieves would bother with carrying the paper that matched the plate. As for the information on the registration, the same info is available on the web, or in a phone book.
