Do commercials in America regularly feature murder as a joke?
I know the states of different rules then other countries, but I was just rather shocked (not really, "shocked" but mildly surprised) at the punchline of this Nissan commercial. Is murder featured often in American advertisements? Can you post other examples?

No, commercials in America do not routinely feature murder. In fact, the video posted is actually not a commercial at all, but rather a parody of a real commercial that features two neighbors talking back and forth about their cars. I can't find the original commercial online that this parody is based on, but I have seen it often.
This type of "shock" commercial always disturbs me:

Ah that would make sense if it was a parody, I just realized that its from the The Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre

Goodness! That is the first I have seen, very shocking, and I have seen some pretty bad commercials. No I would say that mainly commercials try to be comedic rather than dramatic like that one. That was a poor shot at being funny (no pun intended).
I don't think that it is too common of an occurrence in the United States as of it is the firs one I've seen do this without being in a video game. I think that as a strategy it works very well because it gets your attention and is mildly amusing, though slightly disturbing.
Wasn't this a parody and not an actual commerical?
