if you like a rare find, I would say the 1963 corvette as it was the only year for the split back window, also was first year for such things as leather interior and power steering. I like the front end look of the C1 vettes, however for just flat out sexy looks for a car you cant beat the C2 63!

I also remember seeing the rush hour black one on ebay several years ago.
looking though brought back memories of the Coyote from Hardcastle. so, mashing it all up, i am suggesting a new one even though i didn't like it myself, but it is my father in laws favorite which is the 63 Split Window Coupe. It is slowly becoming my favorite.

I've always been partial to the C4s. How about a 1988 Callaway Sledgehammer Vette?
It goes 255MPH (thanks to 880 horsepower) and still manages to get 19MPG highway--obviously not while going 255MPH. : )
Pretty impressive that they could pull that off 20 years ago!

Best year and style for Corvette?
What's your favorite year for Corvette? Stingray? 50's? C6?
Right now I own a C6, but I really want a Stingray from the early 1970s (70-73).

I would have to say i like the dark colored or black convertible on Hardcastle & McCormick pilot. I think it was a 65 convertible. I almost bought a yellow one and not sure why i didn't, but ended up with a 65GT mustang. Anyway, here is a pic of a yellow one. I think my father in law has a unrestored one in his garage that he was going to restore one day that is in those early 70's years although needs complete restoration from peeking under the cover in his garage. i think he drove it home years ago and now won't start or work i'm sure, but was a convertible. looks pretty used. I also remember seeing the rush hour black one on ebay several years ago.
