Will iPhone 3.0 software allow my iPhone 3g to stream Music and Podcasts to my Pioneer AVIC - D3 if i get the bluetooth kit for it?
I want to make sure before i spend the money to buy the kit. I would like actual experience with this radio.

The iPhone 3G has builtin Stereo Bluetooth with the A2DP profile but that deck does not support bluetooth music streaming. It will work for phone calls but nothing that involves sterero bluetooth. That said if you find a different deck that has stereo bluetooth then you are set.
Hope it helps!

You would be better off using the front aux input with a 3.5mm cable to the iPhone's headset output. The iPhone 3G does not support A2DP for streaming audio. The 3GS is supposed to, but I have not tested it yet, and that standard is usually buggy and unreliable anyway. The cord is simple and cheap.

If you are running the most current firmware (3.1.2) then you are able to do stereo bluetooth via A2DP. I use it with my motorola T505 to listen to podcasts and music in my car that doesn't have an 8th inch jack.
